(Thunder Bay, Ontario) – January 27, 2016

After four months of competition, the staff and management of Levaero Aviation is pleased to announce the winner of the 2015 Company Fitness Challenge. Larry (Bunty) Richards walked away with first place. Through the efforts of the staff and Levaero Aviation, a total of $5,000 has been raised for P.R.O. Kids in Thunder Bay. The group recorded 39,000,000 steps, which translates to 27,800 km.

When Levaero Aviation announced the Fitness Challenge in August, employees wanted the benefit of the challenge to be shared with the community and decided to make individual donations to a charity. Excited to share the benefits with the community, President & CEO, Robert Arnone, together with business partner, Steve Davey, Executive Vice President & COO, offered to match the employee donations and selected P.R.O. Kids in Thunder Bay as the recipient.

“Employees donated $1,500 which was matched by Levaero Aviation. Both Steve and I are very proud of our employee dedication to the program and honoured to match their generosity. This challenge provided motivation by introducing a friendly competitive environment. Levaero Aviation is committed to promote the health and fitness of our employees,” said Arnone.

Davey added “This competition has been inspiring and entertaining. Each week we introduced challenges designed to inspire everyone. We announced that the final challenge would take place over two weeks and Levaero Aviation would donate $2,000, in the name of the winner, to the charity of their choice. The final challenge, as well as the overall challenge, was won by Larry (Bunty) Richards, in what proved to be a very exciting finale.” Larry selected P.R.O. Kids as the recipient for the $2,000 donation.
